Životopis: Svetlana Novaković was born in Sisak on 24 August 1966. She finished comprehensive high school in Sisak and the School of Applied Art and Design – Department of Graphics. She graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Rijeka and gained a degree of visual arts professor with a specialisation in graphics. In 2017 she defended her doctorate Influence of an Innovative Approach to Education on Preschool Teachers’ Art-Pedagogic Work at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Kopar in Slovenia. Since 2008 she has worked at the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb, at the Department of Art, in the realisation of the following courses: Visual Arts and the Teaching Methodology of Art at undergraduate university studies for teachers of early and preschool education, and Visual Art and Graphics. The visual - art education of children of early, preschool and primary school age, as well as the professional training of students for the profession of educator or teacher, along with the didactic and methodological focus of shaping educational strategies, is her central scientific and research interest.
