Student Tuition Fees for Integrated University Study Programmes and Undergraduate Study Programmes
Citizens of the Republic of Croatia and other European Union member states enrolling in the first year of study for the first time with full-time student status shall remit student tuition fees in accordance with the decisions enacted by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Senate of the University of Zagreb, and the Faculty of Teacher Education for the respective academic year.
In the event that the Government of the Republic of Croatia fails to allocate funds to cover tuition costs for full-time students in the current academic year, the Faculty shall act in accordance with the Decision of the Senate of the University of Zagreb and require enrolled students to pay a tuition fee of €955.60.
The Decision of the Faculty of Teacher Education on Student Tuition Fees and Charges is adopted immediately prior to the commencement of enrolment in the summer admission period for the forthcoming academic year.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, the regulations were as follows:
Tuition costs for full-time students enrolling in the first year of study for the first time in the 2025/2026 academic year are fully subsidised by the state budget, pursuant to the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act and the Decision of the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth on the Funding of Public Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Croatia.
Entitlement to a full tuition fee subsidy is extended to full-time students who previously held full-time student status at a public higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia at the same level of study, provided that they are changing their chosen programme of study for the first time in the 2025/2026 academic year, have not obtained a qualification at the same level of higher education, and have accumulated at least 55 ECTS credits in their previous study programme during the preceding academic year. Alternatively, a threshold of 30 ECTS credits applies to students with disabilities who have a certified physical impairment of at least 60% or a Category III functional capacity impairment.
Full-time students changing their programme of study who fail to satisfy the aforementioned conditions (i.e., a minimum of 55 ECTS credits in the previous study programme during the preceding academic year) shall be required to cover tuition costs amounting to €955.60.
For part-time students in Early Childhood and Preschool Education, the student tuition fee is €1,221.00.
