As one of the longest-standing units in the Faculty of Teacher Education at the University of Zagreb, the Chair of Kinesiology Education coordinates instruction in compulsory modules across the Primary Teacher Education and Preschool Teacher Education programmes. These include Kinesiology Teaching Methodology, Kinesiology, Kinesiological Culture, Kinesiological Transformations, and the Methodology of Programming in Physical and Health Education. The Chair also offers a wide range of elective courses: Scouts and School 1 and 2, Winter Camp 1–4, Swimming 1 and 2, Swimming Instruction for Beginners, Dance Structures 1 and 2, Hiking 1 and 2, Kinesiological Transformations, Kinesiology Teaching Methodology 4/5, Interdisciplinary Learning in Physical and Health Education, and Animation in Outdoor Education. The Chair hosts “Kinesiological Education in Preschool and Primary Education” (227-2271694-1696), one of 14 research projects at the Faculty funded by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education, and Sports. In institutional evaluations to date, this project has received the highest rating for excellence. Its scholarly output includes 3 authored monographs, 14 edited volumes, 3 book chapters, 30 journal articles, 3 plenary addresses, 18 invited lectures, 127 papers in conference proceedings, and 5 abstracts, and it has facilitated 6 doctoral dissertations, 4 master’s theses, and 67 graduate theses. Chair members maintain extensive collaborative networks within the Faculty of Teacher Education at the University of Zagreb and with numerous domestic and international institutions.
