Associates at the Faculty of Teacher Education
The work of the Centre involves teaching staff and associates of the Faculty of Teacher Education engaged in the preparation, editing and reviewing of scientific, professional, educational and artistic publications. As needed, the Centre also collaborates with external authors, reviewers, editors and other institutions.
Purpose and Objectives
The Centre for Publishing is an organizational unit of the Faculty of Teacher Education responsible for coordinating and developing the Faculty’s publishing activities. Its purpose is to promote and facilitate the publication of scientific, professional, educational and artistic work produced by the Faculty’s teaching staff and associates, and to make these publications accessible to the academic community and the general public.
The Centre’s publishing activities include the organization, publication, promotion, sale and financing of various types of publications, including textbooks, scientific monographs, handbooks, brochures, translations, journals, sheet music, audio and video materials, as well as other scientific, artistic and professional works.
Scientific and Professional Projects, Publications and Other Activities Worth Mentioning
The Centre for Publishing continuously participates in the publication and promotion of the Faculty of Teacher Education’s publications. During the 2024/2025 academic year, several scientific and professional books were published, including:
- Draženko Tomić: Bioetical miscellany
- Krunoslav Mikulan: Izdavačka djelatnost nastavnika Učiteljske škole u Čakovcu (između dva rata)
- Jelena Vignjević: Riječi u vrtiću – co-published with Hrvatska sveučilišna naklada
- Josipa Kraljić: Pjesmom kroz igru – second edition
- Željka Knežević: Višejezično i međukulturno obrazovanje u nastavi stranih jezika – Učitelji kao nositelji promjena
- Zlatko Bukvić: Teorija i praksa inkluzivnoga odgoja i obrazovanja – co-published with Hrvatska sveučilišna naklada.
The Centre also participates in the publication of conference proceedings and abstract booklets from scientific and scientific-professional conferences, including publications related to the international scientific and artistic conference STOO4, Odgoj i obrazovanje (danas za) sutra: premošćivanje jaza između učionice i realnosti.
A particularly important part of the Faculty’s publishing activities is the Croatian Journal of Education – Hrvatski časopis za odgoj i obrazovanje, which continuously publishes scientific and professional papers in the field of education.
The Centre’s promotional activities are also worth highlighting. During Interliber 2024, the Centre presented four publications of the Faculty of Teacher Education at the university book stand. In 2025, presentations of new Faculty publications were also organized.
