Purpose and Objectives
The Centre for Research into Digital Educational Technologies was established on 30 September 2023 with the aim of bringing together relevant stakeholders and fostering collaboration between the academic community and leading companies in the field of digital educational technologies. The Centre focuses on scientific research into the role of digital educational technologies in the future, as well as on the development and application of contemporary technologies in education.
The Centre promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, the development and application of innovative digital solutions, and cooperation with related centres, institutes, educational institutions and other organisations in Croatia and abroad.
Areas of Activity
The Centre’s areas of activity include the development and application of digital educational technologies, including artificial intelligence in education, the integration of digital literacy and AI literacy, and the development of critical thinking. The Centre also focuses on cybersecurity and data protection in the educational context, open educational resources and MOOCs, robotics, games and simulations in education, and augmented and virtual reality technologies (AR/VR).
A particular area of activity is the application of artificial intelligence in education, including personalised learning, learning analytics and pedagogical agents. The Centre also promotes the organisation of professional and scientific conferences, workshops, projects and other activities aimed at the development and application of digital educational technologies.

The Centre may participate in scientific research, development, professional and teaching projects; carry out activities aimed at disseminating research results and good practices; and develop publishing activities and other forms of scientific and professional collaboration.
Educational Programmes and Professional Development
The Centre may organise educational programmes in the field of digital educational technologies, including elective courses, modules, specialist programmes and other forms of formal education that may carry ECTS credits.
In the field of professional and professional-pedagogical development, the Centre may organise workshops, seminars, specialist courses, summer schools, conferences, round tables, hackathons and mentoring programmes. Activities may also be delivered through e-learning, blended learning and other forms of online education.
