Book Lending (Circulation)

Library Registration

Students across all study programmes at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Teacher Education are eligible for Library membership.

Membership is activated upon submission of a completed Library Registration Form.

Students may access Library services across all three branch locations (Zagreb, Petrinja, Čakovec).

Library membership is free of charge.

The standard student ID card (X-ica) serves as the Library membership card.

Borrowing Rules

Books are issued upon presentation of a valid student ID card (X-ica).
A maximum of three library items may be borrowed simultaneously.
The following materials are restricted to in-library use and cannot be borrowed: reference literature (dictionaries, encyclopaedias, lexicons, manuals), doctoral dissertations, journals, and the final available copies of mandatory examination literature.
All non-circulating library materials are available for consultation within the Library reading room.
The librarian registers borrowed items to the user’s profile within the automated library management system.

The online catalogue facilitates access to individual user profiles, enabling users to review current and past loans, and to extend return deadlines for currently borrowed items.
Students can sign in using their AAI@EduHr user identity.

Loan Period

Library materials are issued for a standard 30-day period.

Users may independently renew loan periods via their user profile in the online catalogue, up to the precise date of expiration.

Log in using your AAI@EduHr credentials by clicking “Login” in the upper right corner. Once authenticated, select “My Loans” in the upper right.

Under “Loans”, select “Active Loans”, choose the respective book, and click “Renew Loan”. Renewals can be processed no earlier than 7 days prior to the expiration date.

Book Returns and Overdue Items

Books must be returned or renewed on time.

The library system automatically sends a “Reminder” to the user’s registered email address two days before the loan expiration date.

Users who fail to return borrowed materials on time are subject to late fees in accordance with the Library Pricing Schedule established by the Dean of the Faculty.

Prior to the defence of a bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, or doctoral thesis, the student must return all borrowed library materials and settle any outstanding debts in compliance with the Regulations on the Preparation and Defence of Bachelor’s and Master’s Theses at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Teacher Education.

The user bears full liability for any physical damage to the library holdings incurred during the loan period.

Interlibrary Loans

Users requiring library materials from external institutions for their scientific or professional research may request these items via interlibrary loan by submitting the Interlibrary Loan Form.

Interlibrary loans are executed subject to the conditions stipulated by the lending institution.

The user assumes all financial costs associated with the interlibrary loan process.
