The Chair of Croatian Language and Literature, Drama, and Media Education is one of the largest organisational units within the Faculty of Teacher Education at the University of Zagreb. Its faculty is drawn from the Department of Primary Teacher Education and the Department of Preschool Teacher Education. Members of the Chair possess specialised expertise across diverse research, artistic, and instructional domains within the humanities and social sciences, including the Croatian standard language, dialectology, the history of the Croatian language, rhetoric, literary studies, Croatian and world literature, children’s literature, media culture, drama education, and the teaching methodology of Croatian language and literature.

The Chair operates from the central Zagreb headquarters and the regional branches in Petrinja and Čakovec, maintaining a total staff of 23 across the three locations, 20 of whom hold doctoral degrees.
