Learn & Include

“Learn & Include: An Engaged Community – An Inclusive Society”

The project is implemented by the Croatian Association for Early Childhood Intervention (HURID) with financial support from the Swiss Confederation under the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme, as a contribution to reducing economic and social disparities within the European Union. The Faculty of Teacher Education is one of the project partners. Through collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experience aimed at building more inclusive communities and providing higher-quality support to children with developmental risks and difficulties, as well as to their families, the project will pursue three key objectives:

  1. To establish a sustainable partnership among four higher education institutions and civil society organisations, and to introduce service-learning as a pedagogical method, thereby enhancing the quality of education and aligning Croatian higher education practice with European standards;
  2. To empower future professionals to adopt an innovative and proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges within their local communities; and
  3. To contribute to the development of the early childhood intervention system and to the alignment of the Republic of Croatia’s standards with those of the European Union.
