School for NET-generations: Internal reform of primary and secondary school education – SCHOOL4NET-GEN (HRZZ IP-2013-11-3814)

The main goal of the planned research is to examine the opinions and (self-)assessments of teachers, headmasters, parents, and students on the weaknesses of the current didactic paradigm (teacher-oriented instruction) which is prevalent in Croatian schools, and to explore possible didactic solutions for internal reform, which would enable transition to student-oriented instruction by relying on the contemporary teaching and learning theories, and on the possibilities of enriching the teaching process and communication with digital media.

The project aims to examine Croatian translations of children’s and young people’s literature throughout the 20^th century, as well as translations of Croatian literature into other languages within the same time period.

Innovating preschool teacher and teacher education study programmes by applying CROQF – INPUTS (UP.03.1.1.03.0024 – ESF project)

Bearing in mind the current education reform which is changing the existing education paradigm, the professionalization of preschool teacher, teacher, and headmaster education through quality assurance of educational programmes is of utmost importance for the quality improvement of the education system as a whole. That is why the aim of this project is to improve the quality of initial and lifelong education of preschool teachers, teachers and headmasters.

Modern women thinkers: intellectual development of women in Croatia in the 20^th century – MMŽ/MWT (HRZZ IP-2018-01-3732)

The project aims to construct women’s intellectual history in Croatia and to identify the changing ideas in comprehending the concept of a women in the 20^th century, in order to explain the intellectual origins of understanding a modern woman.

The Gordian Knot of Croatian democracy: how to untie it? – DEMOhub (HRZZ UIP-2025-02-9500)

Some of the project goals are: establishing an interdisciplinary research team; empowering its members by promoting the same-level learning and networking with other relevant national and international stakeholders; implementing an interdisciplinary theoretical triangulation of democracy as a notion, and democratization of education by using the meta-analysis of the narrative systematic overview of the relevant papers published in journals covering various scientific disciplines (educational sciences, pedagogy, political science, sociology, anthropology, and history).

Formal systems and modelling – FORMALS-2 (HRZZ IP-2024-05-3882)

Some of the project goals are: to examine the completeness, decidability, and complexity of some extensions of inquisitive modal logic systems; to analyse the correspondence theory of inquisitive modal logic; to generalize the results of inquisitive modal logic to the inquisitive environment logic, and to axiomatize the notion of compromise within the social choice theory.

Early disciplinary literacy in Croatian: characteristics of the textbook discourse – RAPID (HRZZ IP-2024-05-2755)

The aim of the project is to determine the characteristics of the Croatian textbook discourse aimed at development of early disciplinary literacy (1^st – 6^th grade of primary school). The project is based on the assumption that mastering the language of a particular discipline is necessary for development of disciplinary literacy, since knowledge is inseparable from the language through which it is shaped and transferred.

Vocabulary development of younger school-age children through innovative aesthetic and embodied learning methods – RjeŠko (HRZZ IP-2024-05-8350)

The members of the RjeŠko project team are renowned experts in the fields of linguistics, psychology, and pedagogy, who are dedicated to research on lexical development of children. A multidisciplinary approach enables them to develop innovative methods for improving language competencies in children.
